How to calculate pet value in Grow a Garden

Every trade in Grow a Garden — the Roblox gardening game — comes down to one number: value. Pets weigh a certain number of kg, they age from 1 to 500, and many of them carry a mutation multiplier. Multiply those inputs together and you get the estimated worth of the pet. This guide walks the full pet value by weight and age workflow, then shows how to use the same numbers to call a trade a Win, Fair, or Lose.

Quick answer: pet value = base value per kg × mutation multiplier × weight (kg) × age multiplier, where the age multiplier is 1 + (age − 1) × 0.004. A Legendary pet (base 55) at 2.5 kg, age 500, with a Golden mutation (×20) is worth 55 × 20 × 2.5 × 2.996 = 8,239.

The pet value formula, step by step

The formula has four moving parts. Each one multiplies into the total, so a mistake in any input throws the result off:

  • Base value per kg. Community estimates per rarity: Common 1, Uncommon 3, Rare 8, Epic 20, Legendary 55, Mythical 140, Divine 380, Secret 950, up to Rainbow 12,000 per kg.
  • Mutation multiplier. A flat multiplier on the value — Silver ×10, Golden ×20, Diamond ×50, Rainbow ×100, Voidtouched ×300. No mutation is ×1.
  • Weight in kg. Value scales linearly with weight: double the kilograms, double the value. Decimals are normal — a 2.5 kg pet is worth 2.5× its per-kg rate.
  • Age multiplier. 1 + (age − 1) × 0.004, capped at age 500. This is the only input that grows on its own.

Worked example: a Legendary pet (55 per kg) weighing 2.5 kg at age 500 with a Golden mutation (×20). Per-kg with mutation: 55 × 20 = 1,100. Weight: 1,100 × 2.5 = 2,750. Age at 500: 1 + (500 − 1) × 0.004 = 2.996. Final: 2,750 × 2.996 = 8,239. The calculator prints each of those steps in the result panel so nothing is hidden.

How pet age works from 1 to 500

Age is the quiet multiplier most traders underestimate. The curve is linear: every level adds 0.4% of the base value, so a level-500 pet is worth ×2.996 of its level-1 self — almost exactly three times as much. Weight does not change as a pet ages; only value does. That is also why value ↔ weight conversions always assume age 1.

Age Multiplier Gain vs age 1
1×1.000—
100×1.396+39.6%
250×1.996+99.6%
500×2.996+199.6% (≈ ×3)

In practical terms: aging a pet from 1 to 250 is worth almost as much as the entire mutation-free base value doubling. If you are deciding between feeding a pet or trading it now, the Age 1–500 planner shows the exact percentage gain between any two ages, plus an XP estimate for the trip.

How mutations stack

Mutations stack multiplicatively, not additively: total = base × m1 × m2 × m3. Golden (×20) combined with Diamond (×50) gives a combined ×1,000 multiplier — not ×70. This is why one heavily mutated pet can be worth more than ten clean ones of the same rarity.

Mutation Multiplier Mutation Multiplier
Silver×10Rainbow×100
Shimmer×12Nightmare×150
Golden×20Disco×175
Oil×30Corrupted×250
Diamond×50Voidtouched×300

Fruit mutations run on their own table (Wet ×2, Frozen ×4, Pollinated ×3, up to Voidtouched ×300), and the Mutation Stack tab multiplies up to three picks at once while rejecting duplicates.

Converting value to weight

A listing might show value when you think in kilograms, or the reverse. The conversion is division one way and multiplication the other: kg = value ÷ (base × mutation), or value = (base × mutation) × kg. Divine with no mutation is 380 per kg, so 10,000 value ÷ 380 = 26.32 kg. Both directions assume age 1 — older pets weigh the same but are worth more, so fold the age multiplier back in with the Pet Value tab when it matters.

Win, Fair, or Lose: reading the WFL window

WFL stands for Win, Fair, or Lose. To call a trade, divide the value you receive by the value you give and compare the ratio to the community's fair window of 0.92 to 1.12 — roughly ±8% around equal value:

Receive ÷ give Verdict Reading
≥ 1.12WINYou gain 12% or more value
0.92 – 1.12FAIRInside the ±8% window — even trade
< 0.92LOSEYou give away 8% or more value

Example: you give 10,000 and receive 15,000. Ratio 1.5 → WIN, +50%. Give 10,000 and get 8,000 back: ratio 0.8 → LOSE, −20%. Give 10,000 for 10,000: ratio 1.0 → FAIR, 0%. Numbers alone never tell the whole story — demand, neon or mega status, and trend shifts move real trades past the window — but they catch the bad deals before you accept them. Run both sides through the Trade WFL checker and you will see the verdict and the exact percentage difference.

Pricing fruit and crops

Crops follow a parallel formula: fruit base × quality multiplier × fruit mutation × weight × size multiplier × stack bonus. Size adds up to +50% at size 100, stacked fruit adds +10%, and the top-end crops (Sugar Apple, Beanstalk, Grape Moon) start at far higher bases than anything in the common garden. Use the Fruit Value tab when you are pricing a harvest for trade.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the pet value formula in Grow a Garden?

Pet value = base value per kg × mutation multiplier × weight in kg × age multiplier. The age multiplier is 1 + (age − 1) × 0.004, so a level-500 pet is worth almost exactly three times the same pet at level 1.

How much is a level 500 pet worth in Grow a Garden?

A level-500 pet is worth ×2.996 of its level-1 value — almost exactly three times as much — using the age curve 1 + (age − 1) × 0.004. Weight stays the same as the pet ages; only value grows.

Do mutations stack additively or multiplicatively in Grow a Garden?

Multiplicatively. Each selected mutation multiplier multiplies into the total: value = base × m1 × m2 × m3. Golden (×20) plus Diamond (×50) is a combined ×1,000, not ×70.

What does WFL mean in Grow a Garden trading?

WFL stands for Win, Fair, or Lose — the community verdict on a trade. Divide the value you receive by the value you give: 1.12 or higher is a Win, 0.92 to 1.12 is Fair, and below 0.92 is a Lose.

How do I check if a trade is fair in Grow a Garden?

Total the value of both sides with the calculator's Pet Value and Fruit Value tabs, then run both totals through the Trade WFL checker. A result inside the ±8% fair window means the trade is even; anything above is a win for you and anything below is a loss.
