Instant browser tools for real jobs: stair layouts, conversions, and guides that answer the question before you finish typing it.

// about

Built like a lab instrument, not a lead magnet.

Daily Utility Lab is a small collection of free browser tools. No accounts, no email walls, no “start free trial.” You open a page, type a number, and get a correct answer with the formula shown.

Every calculation runs client-side in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is logged, and we do not use cookies or third-party analytics. Theme preference and banner dismissals live in localStorage on your device — that is the entire footprint.

Tools are checked against real codes and standards where they apply (for example, IRC 2024 and IBC limits on the stair calculator) so the output is something you can actually build from, not just a rough guess.

Made by people who got tired of calculators that bury the result under ads. If a tool is missing, tell us — feature requests go straight to the inbox.

Questions, answered

The short version of what people usually ask first.

Are these tools really free?

Yes. Every tool is free with no signup, no paywall, and no account. Calculations run in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server.

Do you track me or use cookies?

No. Zero cookies, no analytics, no fingerprinting. Theme preference and banner dismissals are stored in localStorage on your device only.

What does the stair calculator calculate?

Riser height, tread depth, total run, stair angle, stringer length, comfort number (2R + T), and a material cut list — validated against IRC 2024 and IBC, in imperial or metric.

What does the EV charging cost calculator calculate?

Cost per charge, charging time, cost per mile, monthly cost, and a home vs public vs gasoline comparison — from battery size, SOC window, charger level and your rate, with charging losses, session fees and time-of-use options.

What does the attendance and marks calculator calculate?

Attendance percentage from classes held and attended, how many classes you can bunk or must attend to hold 75%, plus marks percentage, grade and percentage-to-marks back-conversion — all in one free browser tool.

What does the CPU bottleneck calculator calculate?

Bottleneck percentage, both components' maximum FPS caps, which part limits the pair, whether you hit your target frame rate, upgrade advice, and a 1080p vs 1440p vs 4K comparison — from your CPU, GPU, resolution and target FPS.

What does the hidden fee calculator calculate?

Total round-trip fees with a visible vs hidden split, fee percentage of the position, break-even exit price, net P&L, annual fee drag and a broker pricing comparison — from commission, spread, slippage, swap, FX conversion and regulatory fees on stocks, forex or crypto.

Do the calculators work offline?

Once the page has loaded, math runs client-side, so an open tool keeps working without a connection. First load needs the network for fonts and CDN scripts.

Can I request a new tool?

Yes. Use the Contact page and pick Feature Requests. We read every message and build tools people actually ask for.
